Call for Abstracts

  1. All Abstracts must be submitted via the Abstract Submission page on the conference website. Submissions will not be accepted by any other means.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted by the author.
  3. Authors presenting accepted abstracts must be registered for the ASFM conference. Registration fees are the responsibility of the presenter.
  4. The deadline for abstract submission is December 31, 2025.
  5. All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee.
  6. All received abstracts will be acknowledged, and authors will receive letters of acceptance or rejection within thirty (30) days.
  7. Abstracts for empirical studies, secondary analyses, and systematic reviews must include: Introduction, background & context, objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion.
  8. Abstracts for non-empirical works must include: Introduction, objectives or purpose of the work, methods and approach used, results, and conclusion.
  9. Submitted abstracts must include a proposed sub-theme.
  10. Preferred presentation type (workshop, oral communication, or poster).
  11. Please include the authors’ email addresses.

The scientific committee will make every effort to honor the authors’ choice of sub-theme but reserves the right to modify this assignment to ensure a balanced scientific program.

Each abstract must include the following:

  • Abstract title (must not exceed 25 words)

  • Follow the provided sections and limit the abstract to 400 words

  • List of author(s) (first and last names for each). The presenting author’s name must appear first in the list. Do not include qualifications.

  • Author affiliation(s) must be clearly indicated.

  • Abstracts must be written in English and/or French, using single line spacing.

Please follow the format below:

  • Introduction: should be brief and informative, clearly stating the purpose of the study.
  • Objectives: must be clearly defined and precise.
  • Methodology: include a description of the sample/participants and the research methodology, including the analysis.
  • Results: present the study’s findings supported by statistics where appropriate. Provide relevant data aligned with the objectives. Do not include figures, graphs, or tables in the abstract. A short discussion may be added if necessary.
  • Conclusion: provide a summary and highlight the relevance of the main findings.

All accepted abstracts will be published without further editing. Abstracts that do not follow the specified format will not be published.

Awards will be presented to the best abstract presentations during the conference dinner.
